BioKapital aims to be an internationally recognized and attractive research partner within the cattle breeding community. A staff of 6-8 researchers is involved in research programs comprising quantitative genetics, bull and cow fertility, sperm cryopreservation and other aspects of artificial insemination, also in other animal species.
Fertility data from Norway as well as from Norwegian Reds (NRF) abroad are collected, analysed and communicated to our members and prospective customers abroad. An important activity is teaching and communication of new information to Norwegian dairy farmers, veterinarians and AI technicians. Research results are published in Norwegian as well as peer-reviewed international scientific journals.
